Indian Express, 8/28/16:

Kerala: 12 coaches of Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore express train derail, none injured


Twelve coaches of Thiruvananthapuram- Mangalore express derailed in the wee hours on Sunday near Karukutty station, around 45 kms from Kochi, Southern Railway said. No casualties were reported in the incident.

Here is a news report on the incident with some video. Oddly the cover picture that you see from youtube is not of this accident! It is of some other accident on a single track section, of a diesel hauled train, somewhere else. Indian news media are notrious for not being able to deal with details. For them one derailed train is same as another derailed train, so just using some stock photo is fine. Fortunately the actual TV report is from the real accident site.

 

 

The derailment was in an electrified double track section. The train is normally hauled by a WAP-4 class electric engine as shown in the train information above. The average speed in this section apparently is around 70kph, which means maximum permitted speed is probably at least 100kph (60mph)..
