[NSAlert] Hurricane Michael

Hurricane Michael is currently moving north through the Gulf of Mexico and, according to the National Hurricane Center, is anticipated to make landfall near the Florida panhandle Wednesday evening.  Once making landfall Michael is expected to impact the Southeast with high winds, storm surge and heavy rains.

Currently Norfolk Southern is operating under normal hours with no closings planned; however, as Michael nears land it may become necessary to reroute a minimal amount of traffic away from affected areas.  Norfolk Southern will continue to closely monitor the storm and will provide updates as the storm progresses.

Customers with questions regarding local service should contact their Operations and Service Support, Unit Train, Automotive, or Intermodal representative.

Ongoing updates will be provided as this storm system progresses. The latest ETA and routing information is always available through AccessNS.
