CSX Service Bulletin - Tropical Storm Fay, August 19

Tropical Storm Fay made landfall overnight Aug. 18-19 in southwestern Florida. The effects, including 50-60 hour maximum winds and heavy rainfall, are being felt as far north as Tampa on Tuesday morning, Aug.
19. Projections are that the storm will weaken but move slowly in a north-northeast direction over the next several days.

CSX suspended freight traffic out of the Tampa/Orlando area Monday evening and southbound Florida freight service midnight Aug. 18.

CSX operations forces have secured equipment, staged materials and positioned personnel to expedite resumption of service as the storm passes.

All precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of our employees, customers, and the public with minimum delay to shipments as we continue to monitor the progress of Tropical Storm Fay.

For more information, customers can call the CSX Customer Service Center at 1-877-ShipCSX (1-877-744-7279), prompts #5 then #6.

Please continue to monitor CSX.com for further updates.
