I'm sure the percentage goes up for connecting 22 to 50/850, which leaves earlier.

I have a same day connection through Chicago this trip, but am compensating for that by a one day layover in Washington DC. Although, truth be told, if we misconnect in Chicago, I might still bail and fly to Washington DC. So hoping that we don't misconnect. Looks like the TE misconnected with the Cap only twice (or was it three times?) in May.

Twice: May 1 (missed by 1 hour) and May 28 (missed by 28 minutes).

 

If I was a Wall Street Technical Analyst kinda guy, I'd observe that the misconncts were at the very beginning and end of the month, and take great comfort from that observation

It appears that 19 arrived in NOL only 49 minutes late tonight (6/6) at 8:21pm.

I just put my name on the list, and will probably just do the NOL-HOS leg with the group. I got coach for that leg. This will be the first fest I'm not doing any overnight legs.

Look at it this way.... we get so many extra hours of train riding (or sitting stationary in a train as the case may be) for the same fare, with no danger of missing a connection

No connection, that's the key.   If not taking a taxi or app based ride to your hotel, the last streetcar leaves Union Passenger Terminal at 11:30 PM (as long as we're not over 5 hours late).
