The world’s largest model train store and Denver landmark for nearly 80 years is facing an uncertain future.

Here's the story from KUSA-TV, Denver, CO:

Model train store has to move from longtime South Broadway home

DENVER - Moving is never easy.

That's especially true when you have to move more than 100,000 toy trains, tracks, whistles and just about every part needed to build a model railroad – and 90 days to get it done.

This is the monumental task facing Caboose Hobbies on South Broadway.

SNIP

Caboose Hobbies says they're not sure if they'll open in a new location or just sell their products online.

The store has until early October to move out.

More here.

Caboose Hobbies reopens in Lakewood after closing in Denver

When Jay Cox visits Colorado, he typically makes a trip to Caboose Hobbies to pick up some model train supplies. But after the store closed in Denver last year, it seemed he had maybe made his last trip to what was the largest train hobby shop in the world, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
