Well that wraps up another successful OTOL Rail Fest. Our third and final day we had twelve people involved, riding the Newark Light Rail, Gladstone Branch, and Pascack Valley Line. There was not a single snowflake seen, but man it was cold, especially with a good wind blowing. We pretty much froze outside in both Gladstone and Spring Valley. In the former, the owner of a nearby deli normally closed on Sundays saw us standing out in the street, unlocked his doors, and invited us in out of the cold. We had a very good weekend together, and as always it was a pleasure to ride trains and talk about them in person.

Well I didn't see any flying snowflakes, but I sure did see some on the ground along the ROW's, most likely dropped by the squalls that blew through Saturday night.
Alan,

Take care and take trains!

Yes, there was a small amount on the ground going out through Somerset County out to Gladstone. But I was concerned about the possible "snow showers" predicted for Sunday. Not so much that it would have affected our trips on the rails, but more so I wanted everyone to get home safely.
