Weekend Shuttle Busing Scheduled Along SEPTA's Media/Elwyn Regional Rail Line

May 25, 2016

 

PHILADELPHIA, PA (May 25, 2016)---Shuttle buses will replace train service along SEPTA's Media/Elwyn Regional Rail Line between Elwyn and University City Stations on Saturday, May 28, 2016, Sunday, May 29, 2016 and Monday, May 30, 2016. This is to accommodate SEPTA and third party contractor forces performing critical construction work for the Secane Station Improvement Project and working to rehabilitate the Crum Creek Viaduct which is part of SEPTA's Rebuilding the System program.

 

Passengers will board local or express shuttle buses to complete their trips to and from Center City Philadelphia. Shuttle bus operators will accept tokens, cash ($2.25 exact fare required), passes and rail tickets.

 

Inbound
Express shuttle buses will pick up passengers at Elwyn Station and will make stops at Media, Moylan-Rose Valley, Wallingford and Swarthmore stations before expressing to University City Station where passengers will transfer to trains to complete their inbound trips.

 

Local shuttle bus service will pick up passengers at Swarthmore Station and will make stops at Morton, Secane, Primos, Clifton-Aldan, Gladstone, Lansdowne, Fernwood-Yeadon, Angora and 49th Street before stopping at University City Station where passengers will transfer to trains to complete their inbound trips.

 

Outbound
All Media/Elwyn Regional Rail line trains traveling outbound towards Elwyn, will travel as far as University City Station where passengers will transfer to express or local shuttle buses to complete their outbound trips.

 

Express shuttle buses will depart from University City Station and will operate direct service to Swarthmore Station before making local stops to Wallingford, Moylan-Rose Valley, Media and Elwyn stations.

 

Local shuttle buses will depart from University City and will travel to 49th Street, Angora, Fernwood-Yeadon, Lansdowne, Gladstone, Clifton-Aldan, Primos, Secane, Morton and Swarthmore Stations.
