Saturday would be the best day to have a group meal .  I will start off with suggestions in Brunswick Maine, and suggestions near North Station in Boston.

This one is in the station in Brunswick which makes it a possibility for a group lunch.  https://www.yelp.com...osq=Restaurants.

This is the top ranked one in the area  near North Station on yelp. https://www.yelp.com...osq=Restaurants.

This one is also near North Station.  https://www.yelp.com...osq=Restaurants

I have not eaten at any of these restaurants so I have no personal experience with them.

Thanks Steve for doing the research.  I have not eaten at any of the restaurants either.  I like the looks of the pub in Brunswick and Porters looks better for dinner.  However, there is a hockey game at the Garden at 7pm on Saturday.  We arrive at North Station at 5:50.  There may be crowds of people and we may not be able to eat at a restaurant near North Station, unless we wait or unless the train is late.

I had not thought about the possibility of a hockey game. Our group is a manageable size it would be possible to make a reservation for 6:30. If the train is late we call and let them know. By 6:30 the hockey crowd should be headed to the game.

Or another idea could be to find a place not near North Station/TD Bank Garden away from possible crowds.   Maybe something closer to Downtown Crossing or in Back Bay area.

Last time we had a Fest in Boston in 2013 some of us ate dinner at Quincy Market.   There also was a sports event later that evening at TD Bank Garden and even that place was full of fans in team outfits.

As for Brunswick.... that's called Lunch.   Not necessary we all eat together.  It's along a main street called Maine (with the last E like the state it's in) Street and there are lots of places within a short walk of the station.  Don't want to venture too far given the need to catch the return train. But I'd go up to several blocks if needed.

Either of those will work for me, however my guess is that Kevin will prefer Silvertone over Legal Sea Foods.

A few more ideas for downtown Boston:

Hard Rock Cafe (near Faneuil Hall)

Dick's Last Resort (in Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall)

Joe's American Bar & Grill  (2 locations.... 1 at Waterfront closer to us coming from North Station, and 1 this group has been to before in the Back Bay area on Newbury Street)

Cheers (where everyone knows your name, 2 locations -- original one by Boston Public Garden, and a branch at Faneuil Hall)

La Famiglia Giorgio's (Italian place in North End)

I am pretty much on the same page as Steve.  I have been to Joe's (for lunch and dinner) and Cheers (for drinks).  I only drank at Cheers so I cannot comment on the food.  I got the impression that Cheers was a "tourist trap."

In light of the fact that Boston canceled its St. Patrick's Day Parade, it is possible that the hockey game at The Garden may be canceled also, thus limiting the crowds near Boston North Station.
