KWU-TV, FOX-5 in Las Vegas, NV, 6/11/12:

No rails have been laid yet for the high-speed service connecting Las Vegas to the outskirts of Los Angeles, but that hasn't stopped its administrators to create a new identity for it.

Story is here.

Vegas, Inc, 6/11/12:

Planned DesertXpress high-speed train to be rebranded as XpressWest

Representatives of DesertXpress Enterprises on Monday announced plans to rebrand the proposed high-speed rail service as XpressWest, more accurately reflecting the line’s role as the first leg of a larger passenger rail network.

They don't say whether it will continue to have the short "X-Train" nickname, which they could continue with given the new name. It's probably best, as this should put to rest the "high speed to nowhere" feelings that were evoked by the plans to end the line at Victorville. Whether it will still be a stop on the line remains to be seen. This new name is more appropriate for further extensions to Phoenix and Salt Lake City.

Looks like X-Train nickname has stuck regardless of the new corporate name. Here is a rendering of the planned Las Vegas station, to be downtown in the Plaza (which is where the Desert Wind used to stop):
