Seattle, WA Times, 5/26/15:

Capitol Hill light-rail station nearly ready for trains to rumble

From the south portal of Sound Transit’s new Capitol Hill light-rail station, passengers will descend 65 feet underground to board trains.

Story

Rumble? It shows us how much the press knows about what type of trains will serve the station. Light rail trains don't rumble -- they are relatively quiet.

Right.  Not the word I'd use.  That said, I love the Beacon Hill station because it is [until early next year] the only station on the current line which IS a subway station.  While the trains don't exactly rumble, you begin to hear them as soon as they enter the tunnel at either end, with the 'noise' getting louder and louder, all in anticipation of the train arriving at the station.  I assume the effect will be the same at Capitol Hill and UW/Husky Stadium stations.  Similar article from the Capitol Hill Blog.  Of course I will be ecstatic when these stations open.  That said, this one looks a little "busy", "clunky" and "claustrophobic".
