Day 1 of the PAARRF went as planned for most of the day, but it went south when we tried to head south as well.

It was a small group, but at our peak we had 9 people involved together, including two not expected but certainly welcome.

Our trips on the Market-Frankford Line, Norristown High Speed Line, and Manayunk-Norristown Line were all on or close to schedule. Then after lunch, we did the Broad-Ridge Spur (which covers most of the northern half of the Broad Street Subway), and a brief ride on the Warminster Line, both of which went very well although the latter was a few minutes late.

Now here's where things went awry. Most 13 trolleys run as far as the Yeadon Loop. Certain turnout trips headed to the yard continue as far as Darby TC. So only certain 13 trips can be boarded. The 13 that came at around 2:50 had Yeadon Loop on its destination display, so we let it pass. Later we found out from John's phone app that the trip we let pass was headed to Darby. To prove it was the same car as the one shown in the app, John had also shot a photo of that particular car number. To make up for the loss of the 13, we instead went both outbound to Darby TC and back inbound on the 11 trolley. This only set us back about 10-12 minutes. We were down to 5 folks by the time we did our last run on the southern half of the Broad Street Subway, and we had broken up further by the time the train returned to Center City.

The itinerary was updated to include real times for Saturday, including the headache the SEPTA trolley operator who didn't change his sign caused me. It really was not a disaster because we had ridden this line before, and nobody who had requested it was present anyhow.

We will see what adventures, if any, Sunday brings us.

Here is the photo of the trolley alongside the SEPTA real-time information about 15 minutes later.

Updated guest list after Saturday's journey. To be updated again should need arise after Sunday activities.
