The tentative participant list is now available here. We have one person who wishes not to have their name published, so the number will be one more than shown. Thus this initial version has 7 names, but there are 8 participants so far.

Remember, if you plan to attend, there is no need to "sign up". Simply send me an e-mail stating you plan to attend, the days within the July 12-19 period you will participate, and your hometown if it's changed or I don't already know it.

Short answer: no. Long answer: no.

The longer summer fests are a challenge for me. It's a balancing act between the desire to see everyone, ride some local rail, and experience what is usually my one and only long distance train ride of the year, all while minimizing my time away from home to a couple of nights. Throw in the opportunity to get a few airline miles, and what you get is my somewhat surgical participation in the Fests. I actually kind of like a whirlwind trip, and my summer fest participation usually fits that description.

My wife calls a move like that a "mid-course correction." After all these years, she's gotten used that kind of travel behavior, or at least puts up with it with a smile.
