You need to read this article from bottom to top to follow along with the updates.

Connecticut Post, 5/28/16:

All train traffic was "significantly delayed" along the New Haven Line of Metro-North Railroad Saturday just before 2:30 p.m. due to a draw bridge failure on Walk Bridge in Norwalk, according to reports.

Train service has resumed on 3 of the 4 tracks

New Haven Line train service has resumed on 3 of the 4 tracks over a draw bridge in South Norwalk following an earlier failure of the bridge to close properly. Customers should expect delays up to 20 minutes for the remainder of tonight.

Also Amtrak was affected:

Amtrak spokesman Kimberly Woods said Amtrak trains will be able to operate through the area on one open track. Trains will operate on restricted speeds, as a result, there will be delays.

Metro-North Probes Walk Bridge Failure As It Draws Praise For Rider Updates

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — A Fairfield County commuter activist praised Metro-North’s quick and frequent rider updates after a malfunction at Norwalk’s aging Walk Bridge on Saturday halted train traffic and caused huge delays.

“Information is power, and when stuff doesn’t work, what you need is fast, accurate, credible information, and I think the railroad provided that,” Commuter Action Group founder Jim Cameron told the Daily Voice.

Cameron said he received the first text alert from the railroad within minutes and said the railroad then provided frequent updates.
