A Seattle Talk Show host that hates Unions, Rail Transit, and Minimum Wage Laws is espousing hatred of the TWU, because they have interfered with his plans to go on vacation. Dori Monson has attacked Sound Transit in the past, Washington's Minimum Wage Law, and Unions that strike, saying they are a hinderance to a Free Market economy. His show is carried on KIRO Radio's website right now, and he may end this topic at the top of the hour. I was not going to comment on this topic, but what this host, 3000 miles away, said, just got to me. He would not heare my suggestion for what he should do, so I did not even try to call or email him. He thinks that operating a subway is a low-skill job. I think this talk show host, not directly affected by the strike, should go to New York City, get in the motorman's cab of a train of R142s, and try driving a train on the lines in Manhattan, for what he feels he is worth for that job in a free market economy.

On second thought, when Dori said that these trains could be easily operated by a trained chimp(sorry that this guy is associated with my city's most powerful(wattage-wise) and most-listened to station) could operate the subway trains, that is outragous. On second-thought, I will send an email that he will just ignore, see what happens. Some are calling the Union a terrorist organization on the air. At 1PM(PST) he is changing the topic. Also, KIRO 710AM has three local talk-show hosts that are New Yorkers, unfortunately they are on vacation. As for the comment on who could operate the trains, he said the same thing could replace the King County Executive, and it is a miracle that comment escaped the civil-rights attourneys, and that he still has a job.
