Equipment Swaps Starting Today for Memorial Day Weekend

 

We are starting to see an early rush on certain trains on the Thursday before holiday weekends and as such, starting today we are increasing the length of the trains listed below:

 

Today, May 21:
Fredericksburg Line Train #305 (Departs Union Station at 4:10pm) - 7 cars.

 

Tomorrow, May 22:
Fredericksburg #301 (Departs Union Station at 12:55p) - 6 cars
Manassas #325 (Departs Union Station at 1:15p) - 7 open cars.
Fredericksburg Line Train #303 (Departs Union Station at 3:35pm) - 8 cars
Manassas Line Train #327 (Departs Union Station at 3:45pm) - 8 cars
Manassas Line Train #329 (Departs Union Station at 4:25pm) - 8 cars

 

Please remember that VRE will not operate service on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day. Regular service will resume on Tuesday, May 26th.

Since for most of you, today is the last workday before the Memorial Day weekend, we expect the biggest loads on the earlier trains. Below is the list of the trains that will be longer than normal:

 

Fredericksburg #301 (Departs Union Station at 12:55p) - 7 cars

Manassas #325 (Departs Union Station at 1:15p) - 7 open cars.

Fredericksburg Line Train #303 (Departs Union Station at 3:35pm) - 8 cars

Manassas Line Train #327 (Departs Union Station at 3:45pm) - 8 cars

Manassas Line Train #329 (Departs Union Station at 4:25pm) - 8 cars
