Overnight fire shuts down railroad bridge south of Camanche, Iowa
CAMANCHE, Iowa (KWQC) — An overnight fire has taken a Canadian Pacific Railroad bridge south of Camanche out of commission.
Crews were called to the scene around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Officials say the only way to access the bridge was by boat.
Canadian Pacific spokesperson Andy Cummings tells us the damage was bad enough that the bridge had to be shut down. Crews were still on hand Tuesday afternoon working on repairs.
