Brevard County drivers say railroad crossing arm fails when train goes by: 'I just want my community safe'

ROCKLEDGE, Fla. - Drivers are worried after a railroad crossing arm failed to come down as a Brightline train rolled through a Rockledge intersection.

SNIP

Brightline officials say the train conductor knew about an issue with the gateway before getting to the intersection. Trains automatically slow down to 15 miles per hour to make sure no one gets hit.

More here with video report.

Note that the lights are flashing; the gates have failed - trains are passing through the crossing at 'restricted speed.'  If the lights had also failed, the crossing would be 'flagged.'
