Caltrain Completes Integrated Testing between San Francisco and San Jose
Caltrain’s electric trains have completed integrated testing between San Francisco and San Jose, marking an important milestone in the operator’s Electrification Project.
During this process, tests were carried out on the electric trains, the overhead contact system, the grounding, the bonding and the existing infrastructure, especially in the final segment of the route from San Francisco to Millbrae.
This achievement paves the way for Caltrain to deliver the full rollout of its electrified passenger rail service in autumn 2024.
