CN Service Advisroy - Aug. 27

U.S. GULF COAST

- Tropical Storm Isaac is tracking towards the US Gulf Coast. Although the storm’s path remains uncertain at this time, weather advisories are in effect from central Louisiana to the Mississippi – Alabama state line. This will restrict rail operations on CN’s McComb subdivision between Jackson, MS, and New Orleans, LA.

- As a precaution, CN has ceased routing traffic to Mobile, AL for the duration of the storm. Traffic destined to this area will be held in a safe location until conditions warrant re-opening the line. CN’s final interchanges with carriers at Mobile, AL and New Orleans, LA took place on Sunday, August 26 until operations can safely resume.

- Local industrial switching operations continue throughout the area at this time, and all necessary efforts are being made in order to minimize the impact on CN operations.

We will post further information on this web page as it becomes available.
