MARC service alert 8/2/20

Tropical Storm Isaias

MARC is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Isaias, currently forecasted to impact the service area beginning early Tuesday morning.  At this time, no modifications to service are planned.  As with all severe weather, this storm has the potential to cause 15-20 minute delays, due to speed restrictions caused by multiple types of warnings (flash flood, wind, etc).  We are asking our customers to please plan ahead for your travel and use extra caution in and around the stations.

MARC Penn Line - access to Perryville station affected by flooding

Due to high water blocking the road that leads to the station, Perryville station is accessible only by foot until further notice. Cecil County Public Works staff are on the scene and estimate that it will take 5-6 hours for the water to recede. Passengers arriving at Perryville may want to consider detraining at Aberdeen and arranging alternate transportation.
