Bringing passenger trains back to the Fox Valley would connect this area to the world economy and significantly reduce the carbon footprint of travelers, said a spokesman for NEWRails, a group dedicated to renewing passenger rail service after a 39-year absence.

Story is here. They don't come out and say it explicitly, but I believe that this would be one pair of Hiawatha Corridor runs extended from Milwaukee up to Green Bay.

Advocates Want New Chicago-Green Bay Amtrak Route

Advocates in northern Wisconsin hope to establish a new Amtrak route from Chicago to Green Bay.

The advocates from the group NEWRails believe running trains in Wisconsin's Fox River Valley would both "connect the area to the world economy and significantly reduce the carbon footprint of travelers," according to the Green Bay Press Gazette.
