For the safety of the public and our employees, and because of municipal travel restrictions that are limiting the ability of our workers to reach job sites, Metra is suspending all service on Monday, June 1. We will provide updates on Monday about Tuesday service.

For the safety of the public and our employees, Metra is suspending all service on Tuesday, June 2. We will provide updates on Tuesday about Wednesday service.

Metra Alert - Metra service will resume on most lines on Wednesday, June 3, but on a modified Sunday schedule.

Metra service will resume on most lines on Wednesday, June 3, but on a modified Sunday schedule with the last late night inbound train and last late night outbound train cancelled. There will be no service on the SouthWest Service, Heritage Corridor or North Central Service lines. Riders are advised that more trains could be cancelled during the day depending on circumstances; we will be closely monitoring events and our priority will be the safety of our passengers, employees and our system. Please pay attention to metrarail.com for the latest updates. We hope to be able to expand service to our alternate weekday schedule later in the week if possible.

Metra will continue to operate its trains on a modified Sunday schedule through Sunday, June 7. There will be no service on the SouthWest Service, North Central Service and Heritage Corridor during that time. Due to curfew restrictions in communities across the region, the last inbound and outbound trains in the late evening will not operate. Metra may adjust these schedules daily as conditions change; our priority will be the safety of our passengers, employees and our system. Passengers are advised to monitor metrarail.com for the latest information.
