Link light rail is 8 years old!
July 18th marked the eighth anniversary of the launch of Link light rail in Seattle, the culmination of more than 40 years of discussions, plans, arguments, fitful starts and stops and ultimately the catalyst for a new era of mobility in Central Puget Sound. Making progress on Northgate Link Extension
Crews finished another major milestone on Northgate Link Extension, hand-digging 23 cross passages that connect the two parallel light rail tunnels. Take a ride through the tunnel and get a glimpse of the elevated Northgate Station.
Sound Transit debuted one of 32 new double decker buses outside of Union Station. These will go into service by the end of the year. Get a sneak peek at the new rides.
