Also, here's a lengthy and highly illustrated research paper on hyperloop from UCLA:

Elon Musk to build Hyperloop bullet train 'within weeks'   :o Engineers in California are to build a transportation system that propels passengers through an airless tube at the speed of sound. Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) will build a five-mile "hyperloop" which will allow the bullet train to reach speeds of 760mph.

Hyperloop competitor thinks loop should be less hyper

Intercity or intra, that's (one) big hyperloop question.

As Hyperloop Technologies gets set to reveal a glimpse of its futuristic high-speed tube system here on Wednesday, one competitor in the quest to remake transportation thinks rivals are targeting the wrong problem.

Computer graphics show Hyperloop crossing the Golden Gate channel.  IMO, the artistic rendering is unrealistic as the supporting piers are too low in the water to allow ship passage, and the civil works detracts from the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.    Sloan

Denver to Boulder in eight minutes? Colorado will get first test track for a Hyperloop-inspired transportation system

Colorado will be the site of a first-of-its-kind test track for a futuristic transportation system that could one day whisk passengers from downtown Denver to Boulder in eight minutes.
