While our long distance trips are being considered separately from the PNW Fest, some still may wish to travel in this manner. If you don't have sleeper reservations by now, you are unfortunately out of luck. On July 16th, the day many of us are going on #27 from Chicago to Portland, sleepers are sold out. Sleepers in the section to Seattle, #7, are also sold out. This time I believe it's for keeps; we did get lucky a few months ago. Likewise, both #8 out of Seattle and #28 out of Portland on July 24th now have the sleepers sold out. Some of the eastern trains also don't have any more sleeper space, such as #29 on July 15th. Coach seats still do exist on all of the above trains, but they are into the highest buckets. You might play with adjacent dates, but at this point it would be surprising if you find an available roomette or an affordable coach seat around this time of year.
