Obama talks oil-train safety in Oregon television interview
WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama says his administration feels "great urgency" when it comes to strengthening safety regulations around the oil trains passing through the Pacific Northwest.
"We have been talking with all the stakeholders, not just the rail car owners, but the workers, environmentalists, doing everything we can to strengthen and secure how those cars pass through communities," Obama said during an interview with KGW on Thursday.
