Consist Changes for this Evening's Service
In observance of Columbus Day, VRE will not operate service on Monday, October 12th. Regular service will resume on Tuesday, October 13th.
As usual, in anticipation of the three day holiday, we are adjusting train consists in expectation of heavier passenger loads on the early afternoon trains Friday, October 9th.
Fredericksburg Line
- Train 301 (Departs Union 12:55 p.m.) will have 7 cars.
- Train 303 (Departs Union 3:35 p.m.) will have 8 cars.
- Train 305 (Departs Union 4:10 p.m.) will have 7 cars.
- Train 307 (Departs Union 4:40 p.m.) will have 6 cars.
- Train 309 (Departs Union 5:15 p.m.) will have 6 cars.
- Train 311 (Departs Union 6:00 p.m.) will have 5 cars.
- Train 313 (Departs Union 6:40 p.m.) Will have 4 cars.
Manassas Line
- Train 325 (Departs Union 1:15 p.m.) will have 7 cars.
- Train 327 (Departs Union 3:45 p.m.) will have 8 cars.
- Train 329 (Departs Union 4:25 p.m.) will have 6 cars.
- Train 331 (Departs Union 5:05 p.m.) will have 6 cars.
- Train 333 (Departs Union 5:30 p.m.) will have 6 cars.
- Train 335 (Departs Union 6:10 p.m.) will have 6 cars.
- Train 337 (Departs Union 6:50 p.m.) will have 6 cars.
Another alternative for VRE riders are the Amtrak Cross Honor trains. Amtrak will operate their regular schedule on Monday, October 12th.
If these trains fit your schedule, remember that in order to ride you must have a valid multi-ride VRE ticket (TLC, Monthly, 5 Day or 10 Ride) along with $5 Amtrak Step-Up Ticket. Also please contact Amtrak at 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245) to make sure they have room to accommodate you. If there are not enough seats, the conductors can deny VRE passengers boarding.
