California Zephyr Trains 5 and 6 Track Work Affects Service


 


Effective September 16 - 23, 2017 and October 1 - 8, 2017

 

Due to track work being performed by Union Pacific Railroad, Amtrak California Zephyr, Trains 5 and 6, will operate a detour route between Denver and Salt Lake City, missing the following station stops: Winter Park, CO, Granby, CO, Glenwood Springs, CO Grand Junction, CO, Green River, UT, Helper, UT, and Provo, UT, on the dates indicated below:


Westbound Train 5: Chicago - Emeryville September 15 - 22 and September 30 - October 7
  • Train 5 which originates in Chicago, IL one day prior, will operate a detour route between Denver, and Salt Lake City.

  • Passengers detraining at any of the missed station stops will be provided bus service from Denver to destination.

  • Passengers boarding at any of the missed stops will be provided bus service to Salt Lake City, where you can board the train.

  • Alternate service will not be provided for Winter Park, CO or Granby, CO.


Eastbound Train 6: September 15 - 22 and September 30 October 7
  • Train 6 which originates in Emeryville, CA one day prior, will operate a detour route between Salt Lake City and Denver.

  • Passengers detraining at any of the missed station stops will be provided bus service from Salt Lake City to destination.

  • Passengers boarding at any of the missed stops will be provided bus service to Denver, where you can board the train.

  • Alternate service will not be provided for Winter Park, CO or Granby, CO.
