Amtrak Service Suspended From Bellingham to Vancouver BC

 

Amtrak says service between Bellingham and Vancouver, British Columbia, has been suspended until Wednesday afternoon because of a mudslide on the track.

Passenger train moratorium between Bellingham and Vancouver, B.C.

Alternate transportation provided until Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 31



 

BNSF Railway has imposed a temporary track closure through 12:45 p.m. this Wednesday afternoon on the route used by Amtrak Cascades trains between Bellingham, Wash., and Vancouver, B.C. Alternate transportation by chartered buses is being provided in place of Amtrak trains between those stations.

 

Service from Bellingham south to Seattle and other points is unaffected.     

 

Amtrak regrets any inconvenience. This information is correct as of the above time and date. Information is subject to change as conditions warrant.

 

Anyone can subscribe to automated email or text message notifications if Amtrak trains are behind schedule at specific stations. Notifications can be given for up to six trains and stations by either text or email and delivered when you choose - on a single day, every day, or just certain days of the week. Sounder Rider Alert 2/2/18:
 

Rider Alert: Sounder north line service canceled due to a mudslide

 

 

Sounder north line service is canceled today, 2/02/18 due to a mudslide. Sound Transit will monitor the situation, if there are no additional events, service is expected to resume Monday morning, 2/05/18.

 

At this time riders should take regularly scheduled bus service. 

 

Regular Bus Service

 

Everett – Seattle: ST Express route 510 departing Everett Station bay C1 approximately every 10-15 minutes.

 

Mukilteo – Seattle: Community Transit route 417 at the Ferry Terminal departing at 5:49 am, 6:21 am, 6:51 am, 7:21 am, and 7:53 am.

 

Edmonds – Seattle: Community Transit route 416 at Bay 2 departing at 5:45 am, 6:15 am, 6:34 am, 6:55 am, and 7:42 am.

 

Everett – Mukilteo:

Take Everett Transit route 18 at Bay D2

 

Everett – Edmonds:

  • ST Express 532 to Ash Way P&R
  • Transfer to Community Transit 116

 

Mukilteo – Edmonds:

  • Take Community Transit route 113 at Hwy 525 & Front St. to Lynnwood Transit Center

Sounder Rider Alert 5:22 am PST 2/2/18:

Update: Sounder north line service canceled due to a mudslide

 

Sounder north line service is canceled today, 2/02/18 due to a mudslide. Sound Transit will monitor the situation, if there are no additional events, service is expected to resume Monday morning, 2/05/18.

 

Due to limited resources special buses will only be provided for Mukilteo riders. Special bus service at Mukilteo will be at 6:26 a.m. and 7:26 a.m. 

 

All other riders should take regularly scheduled bus service. An update for afternoon bus service will be sent later today by 2 pm.

Everett – Seattle: ST Express route 510 departing Everett Station bay C1 approximately every 10-15 minutes.

 

Mukilteo – Seattle: Community Transit route 417 at the Ferry Terminal departing at 5:49 am, 6:21 am, 6:51 am, 7:21 am, and 7:53 am.

Sounder north line special bus service information for tonight’s commute along with the regularly scheduled bus service is listed below. If there are no additional blocking events service will resume Monday 2/5/2018. Please monitor Rider Alerts for updates to Sounder north line service prior to your commute.

 

All special buses will allow pre-boarding at 5th Ave S & Weller St (facing south) and depart from 4th Ave S & S Jackson St at the times listed below.

 

Evening bus service on 2/2/2018

 

Seattle - Edmonds: Departing 4th Ave S & S Jackson at 4:05 pm, 4:33 pm, 5:05 pm and 5:35 pm. Riders may also board regularly scheduled Community Transit Route 416 at 5th and James at 3:57 pm, 4:27 pm, 4:58 pm, 5:31 pm and 5:57 pm

 

Seattle - Mukilteo: Departing 4th Ave S & S Jackson St at 4:05 pm, 4:33 pm, 5:05 pm and 5:35 pm. Riders may also board regularly scheduled Community Transit Route 417 at 4th Ave S and S Jackson St. at 3:09 pm, 3:59 pm, 4:22 pm, 4:50 pm, 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm

 

Seattle - Everett: Departing 4th Ave S & S Jackson St at 4:05 pm, 4:33 pm, 5:05 pm and 5:35 pm. Riders may also board regularly scheduled ST Express Route 510 at 4th Ave S & S Jackson St departing approximately every 10-15 minutes.

Alternate transportation by chartered and schedued buses is being provided in place of Amtrak trains in the affected areas  through this Saturday evening Feb. 3.

Sound Transit Rider Alert 2/4/18:

Rider Alert: Sounder north line service is canceled Monday 2/5, due to a mudslide

 

 

Sounder north line service is canceled tomorrow, February 5, due to a mudslide. Sound Transit will monitor the situation, if there are no additional events, service is expected to resume Tuesday morning, February 6.

 

At this time there will be limited special bus service. Riders should take regularly scheduled bus service at times special buses aren’t available. Please monitor the Rider Alerts Page for updates to Sounder north line service prior to your commute.

 

Evening special bus service for 2/05/18 will be provided tomorrow afternoon.

 

Morning bus service tomorrow 2/5/18

Everett – Seattle: Special buses will depart Everett Station from the Greyhound platform at 6:15 a.m.

  • All other riders should take regularly scheduled ST Express route 510 departing Everett Station bay C1 approximately every 10-15 minutes

 

Mukilteo – Seattle: Special buses will depart Mukilteo Station from the train platform driveway roundabout at 5:56 a.m., 6:26 a.m. and 7:26 a.m.

  • Riders may also board regularly scheduled Community Transit route 417 at the Ferry Terminal departing at 5:49 am, 6:21 am, 6:51 am, 7:21 am, and 7:53 am.

 

Edmonds – Seattle: Special buses will depart Edmonds Station in the Amtrak parking lot at 6:11 a.m., 6:41 a.m., and 7:41 a.m.
