Sounder north line special bus service information for tonight’s commute along with the regularly scheduled bus service is listed below. If there are no additional blocking events service will resume tomorrow, 2/06/18. Please monitor our Rider Alerts Page for updates to Sounder north line service prior to your commute.

 

All special buses will allow pre-boarding at 5th Ave S & Weller St (facing south) and depart from 4th Ave S & S Jackson St at the times listed below.

 

Evening bus service on 2/05/18

Seattle - Edmonds: Departing 4th Ave S & S Jackson at 4:05 p.m., 4:33 p.m., 5:05 p.m. and 5:35 p.m.

  • Riders may also board regularly scheduled Community Transit Route 416 at 5th and James at 3:57 p.m., 4:27 p.m., 4:58 p.m., 5:31 p.m. and 5:57 p.m.

 

Seattle - Mukilteo: Departing 4th Ave S & S Jackson St at 4:05 p.m., 4:33 p.m., 5:05 p.m. and 5:35 p.m.

Passenger Train Moratoriums Continue Between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C., through this Thursday morning

Tuesday February 6, 2018 7:00 pm PT

 

 

BNSF Railway has imposed temporary track closures north of Seattle through this Thursday morning, Feb. 8, on portions of the routes used by Amtrak Cascades and Amtrak Empire Builder trains. Alternate transportation by chartered and scheduled buses is being provided in place of Amtrak trains in the affected areas.

 

Service from Seattle south to other points is unaffected.     

 

Amtrak regrets any inconvenience. This information is correct as of the above time and date. Information is subject to change as conditions warrant.

Pretty bad on the highways too. Westbound I-90 was suspended across Lake Washington due to windo and waves on the Homer Hadley Floating Bridge.

Rider Alert: Sounder north line Train 1703 (615a Everett Dep) Canceled

 

 

Sounder north line train 1703 (6:15am Everett Departure) has been canceled due to a tree down on the tracks. They are working to remove the tree, expect delays on trains 1705 & 1707 as a result.


 

UPDATE: Sounder north line canceled due to a mud slide

 

 

 

Sounder north line has been canceled due to a mud slide blocking the tracks. Customer should take regularly scheduled bus service for this morning.

Buses Provide Substitute Transportation

 

Amtrak Cascades trains and Amtrak Empire Builder trains between Seattle and Everett will be represented by chartered and scheduled buses as substitute transportation until Wednesday morning, April 18. This is due to a BNSF Railway passenger train moratorium following a landslide.

 

All trains south of Seattle are operating normally.

Sounder north line bus service for tonight, 4/17/18

 

 

Sounder north line special bus service information for tonight’s commute, along with the regularly scheduled bus service is listed below. If there are no additional blocking events, service will resume tomorrow, April 18, starting with partial morning service, followed by regular full service in the afternoon.

 

Due to the 48 hour moratorium, service cannot resume until 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, April 18.

  • Trains #1701 (5:45 a.m.) and #1703 (6:15 a.m.) are canceled
    • Special bus service information will be provided after this evenings commute
  • Train #1705 (6:45 a.m.) will depart Everett Station 15 minutes late at 7:00 a.m.
  • Train #1707 (7:15 a.m.) will depart on-time
    • There will be no special bus service or extra train cars provided for the two departing trains

Sounder north line bus and train service for tomorrow, 4/18/18

 

 

If there are no additional blocking events, Sounder north line service will resume tomorrow, April 18, beginning with partial morning service, followed by regular full service in the afternoon.

 

Due to the 48 hour moratorium, service cannot resume until 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. The first two trains out of Everett are canceled. Special bus service will only be provided for the first two canceled trains. 

  • Train #1701 (5:45 a.m.) is canceled.
  • Train #1703 (6:15 a.m.) is canceled.
  • Train #1705 (6:45 a.m.) will depart Everett Station 15 minutes delayed at 7:00 a.m.
