KFYR-TV, Channel 5 in Bismarck, ND, 11/14/17:

Major Amtrak delays in Minot

The train, which was scheduled to leave Minot at 9:00 a.m., hadn't arrived yet due to mechanical errors at stations in Minnesota and eastern North Dakota.

Mechanical errors, or mechanical problems?  I suppose in this part of the world, a severely delayed Amtrak train makes the local TV news.  Read story here.

Seems it's been happening a lot lately. One week ago, I caught 27 in Spokane, and the Locomotive broke down near Wishram, and we were 5 hours late getting into Portland. One good thing, from a railfan perspective, was the freight engine that pulled us into Portland. It was in the pre-merger Warbonnet.

On a personal note,is this the train due into Seattle on the 16th? I am taking the Empire Builder to the Dam Cup against Portland State.(That is the name for the Eastern Washington University/Portland State University football rivalry)

7(13), which left Chicago on Monday and should have been into Seattle & Portland this morning (Wednesday 11/15), was the one affected.
