This train left Charlotte on time at 7 AM. Ridership at least in our coach was sparse until we reached Greensboro, where our car filled up. Our car is designated for people headed to Richmond and other stops in Virginia. At time of this post we are between Burlington and Durham, NC running about 2-3 minutes behind schedule. Again with a 4+ hour layover in Richmond, we wouldn't mind, say, an hour or two delay.
From this train forward in the Fest we should have Wifi on every Amtrak train, and TIDE LRT is supposed to have it too.

#80 left Raleigh on time. As the train dwelled there, Bill's plane from Charlotte was flying overhead. Small world.
Crew changed in Raleigh, and we are still packed.

Just got alert from VRE about heat restrictions on their Fredericksburg Line, which would be the route this very train is running north of where we get off in Richmond. This will probably delay our #125 tonight getting into Richmond to pick us up.
