Post in this thread the discussion of our Amtrak trips, such as where we might sit in the same vicinity of the train or our preferred class of travel.

I plan to sit in Business Class and hope to get a window seat.  I will be making my reservations with an agent because I will have a Silver train connecting with the train to and from Roanoke (and I like to choose my rooms).

I am booked.  I am in BC both ways.  98 going North and 91 going South.  I plan to stay at the Curio.

Edit: removed seat numbers for security purposes.

Just booked mine. Might move around my seat to stay with the group (or open to a table seat as well.) Flying in Saturday morning, back Monday morning.

In Business Class, the front most rows are not complete rows because some spaces are left for mobility impaired.   Rows 4-14 are normal, with all seats facing forward and 2 window, 2 aisle seats.   Rows 15 and 16 are table seats, with Row 15 facing backwards.   When I checked earlier this evening, Rows 11-14 on both trains, were still totally available.  The window seats in Row 10 (A & F) are already taken by members of our group.  So if those who already booked up front change to 11-14 we would be closer.

Is Bill going to fly in to stay at the hotel and then fly out as he usually does, or will he actually ride the train this time?
