Northeast Corridor: Metropark, Edison and New Brunswick Stations: Low-Level Platforms on Westbound Trains due to Amtrak Track Work - November 30 to December 9, 2015

November 24, 2015

Use of low-level platforms requires that customers descend and ascend several steps traveling between the train and platform

Beginning on Monday, November 30 and continuing through Wednesday, December 9, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily, Northeast Corridor westbound trains at Metropark, Edison and New Brunswick stations will board using low-level platforms due to Amtrak track work.

Please listen for station announcements or review the platform monitors for boarding information. Customers may experience minor delays during this time. Please allow for extra travel time.

Customers requiring elevator service during low-level boarding and alighting should consider traveling from Rahway, Metuchen or Princeton Junction stations.  Customers may use the following alternate travel options:

Metropark

  • If traveling TO Metropark from points east (e.g. Newark/New York): Remain on the train to Metuchen Station, then transfer to an eastbound train to Metropark.
  • If traveling FROM Metropark to points west (e.g. Trenton): Board an eastbound train at Metropark to Rahway Station, then transfer to a westbound train to your destination.

Edison and New Brunswick

  • If traveling TO Edison or New Brunswick from points east (e.g. Newark/New York): Remain on the train to Princeton Junction Station, then transfer to an eastbound train to Edison or New Brunswick.
  • If traveling FROM Edison or New Brunswick to points west (e.g. Trenton): Board an eastbound train at Edison or New Brunswick, then transfer at Metuchen to a westbound train to your destination.

For more information, please call NJ TRANSIT Customer Service at (973) 275-5555 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.
