Donuts and 2 movies got me through the day. Leave in 6 minutes to pick up Rosalyn.

Breezed through customs and immigration and am sitting in king street station after having rode the link light rail to stall for time. I'm told that #8 is running and there may or may not be a bus bridge. We shall see. Got a robo call but all it said was the schedule changed.

Now sitting on 8(17) waiting to depart. Looks to be a full Seattle/chi train. Has a diner and viewliner baggage. 2 P42 locos back to back.

Departed Seattle about 5-10 minutes late.

I departed NOL ontime at 7 am. Met another rail fan. Got to PHL early and a cab to my hotel. Walked over to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Also rode the PATCO line out to Lindenwald and back. The line was conveniently located right below my hotel.

Very short trip to the fest, since I had already made it down to MSP to visit my girlfriend the night before.

 

I drove from her place to the Westgate station. Just missed the outgoing train I had hoped to make, so grabbed a cold press at Dunn Bros. across the street from that station, and then caught the 10:31 AM train to Union Depot. Arrived at Union Depot at 11:00 AM, and went inside to join the group for the Saturday festivities.
