Let's not forget that we also will be staying a night in Schenectady, so dinner choices are explored there as well.   

 

The Amtrak station is right downtown, and most places to eat will be passed on the short walk to the hotels.

 

There is an Irish Pub named Katie O'Byrne's right adjacent to the Amtrak station (we saw it from the train on our March trip east from Rochester)

 

Centre Street Pub (burgers, wings, pizza, quesadillas)

 

Johnny's (mostly Italian sit-down, reasonably priced)

 

Fast Food:  There is a Burger King diagonally across the street from the Amtrak station.  A Subway restaurant is very close to the Hampton Inn along State Street.

Thank you Kevin for including Schenectady, since that will be the only dinner that I will be attending during the fest.  My preference for restaurants would be in the order you listed them above.

I like Katie O Byrnes too. A nice menu with lots of choices.

I would be lax if I didn't also mention the restaurant within the Doubletree, called Sammy's Burger & Bistro. Despite its name it has a lot more than burgers, including steak, sandwiches, beer, & wine.

Thanks Kevin.  After adding Sammy's to the list, my preference would put Sammy's before Johnny's and after Centre Street Pub.
