Let some more drama start. Norfolk southern had a freight derailment near Bryan, oh. 30 and 48 are detouring tonight. Should be cleaned up by Saturday. But will there be residual delays?

My Getting to the Fest trip does not start until Monday, but in one respect it started today. I got “the e-mail” from US Airways. Based on my Dividend Miles status, I have been upgraded to First Class for my Monday flight from Philadelphia to Tampa. Not a huge deal on a short flight, but still a nice perk. Always nice when the boarding pass says Row 1.

My fest is starting today. Celebrated sisters birthday in Madison, Wisconsin last night and now am riding back to Chicago in dads 2013 cruze.

Got 12 days off, so I'm doing pre-Fest Keystone points runs last night & today. Back home this afternoon, and then leaving again tomorrow to be back here in PHL for departure on #97.

My fest does not start until Monday, but I have been traveling vicariously since yesterday. Yesterday Joe H texted me from the Meteor and I actually heard his train travel through Orlando. This morning, Kevin sent me a text from Trenton informing me that a southbound Star and late northbound Meteor were both in Trenton. I can "pretend" that I am on a Silver. Thanks guys for the texts.

I didn't note their consists, but maybe one of those Silver Service trains I saw in Trenton is one of our rides in a few days.

I'm now sitting in the Metropolitan lounge in Union Station. Amtrak Guest rewards was extremely helpful in getting Mike and I's reservation straightened out from all the Confusion resulting from his girlfriend's daughter confusion. Michael be joining me in Cleveland tonight on the capital Limited. We will be riding metro and going to lunch at the new pizza place in Washington DC. The pizza place is called wiseguys Pizza. Six hours to go until the purchaser and very happy

Standing room only in the lounge and 21 has not departed and 4,6,8 have not arrived. it's a busy day today.
