Tri-Rail plagued by 'disastrous' month of delays

 

It's been a rocky month for Tri-Rail, plagued almost daily by delays.

 

In March, trains were on schedule only 77 percent of the time — well below the 90 percent and above benchmark it strives for. So far in April, only 58 percent of weekday trains have run on time.

Tri-Rail vows to fix delays, improve communication

 

Tri-Rail officials are vowing to change operations to regain passengers' trust after a month of crippling delays that saw less than 60 percent of trains run on time.

 

And after a near perfect performance this weekend with almost all trains on schedule, the new approach seems to be working.
