KCSM Service Status Update:

Maintenance of Way – Mexico – Remainder of 2015

10/8/2015

Ensuring our lines are maintained and operating at their optimal performance, Maintenance of Way work is critical to achieving this. However, we also recognize that this can cause an inconvenience for our customers.

We have recently communicated Maintenance of Way that will be occurring in Mexico during the month of October. To help you plan through the remainder of the year, here are the details of the Maintenance of Way being performed by Kansas City Southern de Mexico during the months of November and December:

Beginning on November 1st and lasting until approximately November 20th, there will be a series of maintenance of way efforts on several of our lines with little to no impact to traffic expected:
- Lines V between Los Reyes and Perote  (See "A" on the attached map).
- Line F between Lobos and Matamoros (See "C" on the attached map).

Also beginning on November 1st with a planned duration of 3 weeks is the below track which may result in some potential delays for intermodal shipments originating in Lazaro Cardenas:
- Caltzontzin N Line between Uruapan – Lazaro Cardenas (See "D" on the attached map)

Lastly, starting November 1st continuing through December 16th, maintenance of way will be done on Line L between San Luis Potosi – Aguascalientes (See "B" on the attached map). There are minimal delays expected with this MOW project.

Our goal is to always minimize disruption for our customers and we will continue to work toward this.  While some of these areas may have potential for delays, please know that our customer service team will be monitoring the impact this maintenance may have on our customers' schedules and will notify those with potential significant impacts.

Should you have any questions related to potential delays or these maintenance efforts, please don't hesitate to contact us at KCSM Customer Solutions. KCSM Customer Solutions analysts are monitoring the situation and can provide additional information specific to your shipment.

We apologize for any inconvenience and we appreciate your patience as we improve our rails.
