BOSTON -- There are significant delays on the Orange Line due to a disabled train at Back Bay station, CBS Boston reports.

 

The MBTA says an overhead motor overheated, filling the station with smoke.

Serious delays on Orange Line    
 

Panicked passengers escaped through broken windows in order to evacuate an Orange Line train after its motor overheated in Boston.

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority said the train has been removed from service. Commuter rail service was suspended through Back Bay station, but the MBTA said traffic can operate through the station at reduced speeds.
