Use this thread to detail our experiences on Train 156, starting Sunday morning from Roanoke and onwards to your final destination on that train.

So far so good.  156 left RNK on time with all of us on board in Business Class.  We were told that Business Class is sold out and that we needed to stay in our assigned seats.  So far, not every seat has been taken.  Some of us have seatmates and some do not (for now).

From Charlottesville, yes almost every seat is taken. Plus, we are following a delayed Crescent (20) and possibly a freight train in front of that. CVS was about 25 minutes late.

Our train 156 was about 40 minutes late into Washington, DC where most retrained to make connections. It remains that late as the remainder work our way up the Corridor on a still-crowded train. I'll be the last of the group off 156 at Metropark.

I detrained in WAS and was concerned about making my connection to 91.  I went directly to the lounge where I was told that the 91 passengers were lining up to be escorted down.  I had enough time to grab a bag of chips then go to 91.  I had plenty of time.  91 departed on time.

I received a seatmate at CVS. After a few minutes I decided I wanted to walk around so headed to the cafe car where some of the other travelers in our group were. Stayed on past WAS, though the engine change was none too pleasant in the July heat and humidity that defines the DC area.

Took roughly 30 minutes to get from WAS to BWI, my final destination on 156. Disappointingly, the BWI station bathrooms were closed and I had to use a porta potty - maybe I should've just taken a final bathroom break on the train!

I, also, received a seatmate in CVS.  I felt claustrophic and went to sit in the cafe car with Jeb, Bill S, Kevin and Steve for a while.

I was off 156 at exactly 6 PM, just over half an hour late.  Here now is the final itinerary, showing the on-time departure from Roanoke and the not-so-punctual arrival times.
