MRTA board approves new train route
The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) has approved in principle the building of a new mass transit route, the Brown Line between Kae Rai and Lam Salee, at an estimated cost of 45 billion baht and scheduled for completion in 2021.

Plans for monorail Yellow Line progresses
Confident with public acceptance after the switch to a monorail system, the Mass Rapid Transit Authority is proceeding with its Bt48-billion Yellow Line (Lat Phrao-Samrong) project, which involves less land expropriation than the original plan would have.

MRTA seeks to expropriate land to build monorails
Construction on the planned monorail lines in Bangkok can’t start until a land expropriation decree has been issued by the cabinet, according to the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA).

MRTA gears up to sign monorail deals

Pink Line road closures announced
The Metropolitan Police Bureau and the Mass Rapid Transit Authority (MRTA) on Monday jointly announced the closure of road sections to make way for the mass-transit Pink Line project connecting Nonthaburi’s Khae Rai district to the capital’s Min Buri district.
