None of the primary players stumping for the project appear to be residents of Arizona, Nevada or California, but they say the three cities selected provide the best opportunity to launch high speed, high distance rail in the U.S.

“All over the world this technology is already being used,” Wilder said. “The position of these three city centers creates an unparallel opportunity for this type of travel.”

Interesting - this group is making a business proposal based on a business decision process, not the emotional rhetoric often used by local advocates. They may have something here.
