An inside look at the streetcar project

Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, Carl Jackson, assistant director of Streetcar Operations at Sun Metro, was always infatuated with trains, subways and any other means of public transportation. Coming from a third generation of public transportation specialists, Jackson knew he always wanted to work on big machines, like trains and railcars.

El Paso is going to use reconditioned PCC cars for its streetcar lines.  The artwork above the article shows a Wason car, not a PCC.  Oh well.   Sloan

More road closures expected as El Paso Streetcar construction nears completion

After months and months of construction, crews are working on installing the last portion of the streetcar rails.

Starting Monday morning, you won't be able to drive through either Baltimore Drive or Glory Road in both directions.

I was wondering, did the original route go over this section? If so, probably could handle it again. Plus, the PCC has proven to be a very adaptable design, as with the refurbishment El Paso's cars are getting shows. It would have been interesting if Seattle's system had tried these out, tackling the Queen Anne Ave Counterbalance.
