A proposal that provides commuter rail service to New Hampshire but does not give them one-seat rides to Boston. It would however meet with existing MBTA commuter rail in Lowell (and Worcester, although that would be way too roundabout a trip). From New Hampshire Public Radio, 10/11/17:

Nashua is one step closer to getting commuter rail in the city.
That's after city lawmakers this week unanimously agreed to enter into a public-private partnership with a railroad company out of Rhode Island.
