The bus arrived from Virginia Beach to pick up the Norfolk people at around 2:40 PM. A few differences from my past trips: The bus was in "Amtrak Thruway" livery, although it is still operated by James River Bus Lines. Also previously it was a 2-person crew, where the woman drove and the man loaded and unloaded luggage. Here we had a different man who both drove and handled the luggage. He also took a different routing than we were accustomed to before, both on the Norfolk end and within Newport News, although he had to still cross the water at the Monitor-Merrimack Bridge Tunnel. We arrived early by the schedule in Newport News at 3:40 PM, giving us a bit more dwell time within that Amtrak station.
