Join the National Association of Railroad Passengers in conjunction with the Midwest High Speed Rail Association to celebrate major victories in our effort to promote CrossRail Chicago at a Lunch on Wednesday, July 9.

As Acting President, I will be presenting NARP’s highest honor, the Golden Spike Award to Illinois Governor Patrick Quinn.

We will also be thanking and honoring Senate Transportation Chairman Martin A. Sandoval, House Tourism and Conventions Chairman Ken Dunkin, Governor Quinn, and Senator Tom Cullerton for their leadership in helping to unanimously pass resolutions calling on the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) and other relevant transportation agencies to include CrossRail in their long-range plans.
 We will also hear a presentation from the University of Illinois' Rapik Saat, describing his team's research regarding implementation of high speed rail in the Midwest.
