Have we decided on which day trips we are doing? If so, what are they?

Incidentally, I am going to Los Angeles this weekend to do the trips that I missed during the OTOL Fest. :) Cheap fare and hotel prompted me to go for it. It also completes 1.9 million Lifetime Miles in United Mileage Plus Program for me.

For the Virginia Fest, I will be arriving in Washington DC Friday evening and departing Washington DC on the way back home on Monday afternoon. Currently I am booked in HGI Capitol Hill near the NoMa Metro stop..

I made the assumption that the day trip to RVR on 89 and 80 would be on Saturday 1/14, and the day trip to CVS on 51 and 50 would be on Sunday 1/15 (since the Cardinal does not run on Saturday).

OK. I am all set on those trains. No BC on the trip back from CVS. The rest all in BC.

Seems early for BC to be sold out all the way (also SO for IND-CIN, CIN-HUN, HUN-WSS). I wonder if that entire BC car was reserved by a group or if Amtrak zeroed out BC inventory for that train.

Made reservations this morning.  BC on 89;  BC not available on 80 or the Cardinal.

Yeah. I will be lucky to make it just to Lifetime Platinum in the next few years. Global Service is way out of reach :( Even being Lifetime Gold is a pretty good deal since you get Star Gold. Platinum gets you into boarding group 1.

I wish Amtrak had a lifetime points thing. A lifetime Select+ would be a cool thing to have. :)
