A train conductor fell off a train and died Saturday night at the Royal Gorge Railroad scenic route in Colorado, authorities said.

Police identified the victim as Leslie Cacy, 28.

Federal Railroad Administration investigates Royal Gorge conductor’s death

Royal Gorge Railroad service set to resume Wednesday

 

The Federal Railroad Administration is investigating a fatal accident Saturday that killed a conductor who fell from the Royal Gorge scenic railroad train and was run over.

 

Desiree French, FRA public affairs specialist, said no information about the investigation could be released Tuesday.

The train was about 4 miles from the station, and Cacy was standing in a doorway at its rear when she fell off and was run over, according to Fremont County sheriff’s spokeswoman Sgt. Megan Richards.
