I am convinced that the TriRail Coastal Link is a dead issue. TriRail's site has an old hyperlink to a page for the Coastal Link, however it resolves back to the main page. Articles about the Downtown Link debut on 1/13/24 mention that Broward and Miami-Dade Counties are exploring commuter service along the Brightline corridor, but there is no mention of Palm Beach County nor the originally proposed service up to Jupiter. Having one operator for the legacy TriRail corridor as well as the Brightline corridor would make much better sense, as would having one operator service all three counties just like the parallel route along I-95 already does. Brightline itself already makes too many stops with the relatively recent addition of Boca Raton and Aventura; any more would further negate the time savings realized by higher-speed rail.
